Falling glass

For the last few months my drivers side window has been having issues rolling up and down. As I do with most things involving my car I choose to ignore this minor annoyance. I mean it DID still roll up and down. It was just super difficult. Of course when I remembered, and it was possible I'd just open my door rather then have to deal with the window. So here is the story. Today I went to the post office to mail an envelope. I pulled up to the mail box, grabbed the envelope, and at the same time attempted to roll down my window. Of course rather then rolling smoothly down my window proceeded to FALL down! It fell the way down into the door. At this point I used a few choice words, mailed my envelope and drove home. When I got home I tried to see if it was possible to pull the window back up. Of course it wasn't. That would have been way too easy. I called Deb and Jesse. Jesse suggested I take the door apart to retrieve the hidden glass. That didn't work cause for some reason Geo Metro doors are a solid wall of vinyl and medal. Who would have thought? Absolutely completely impossible to get through for me. I then called my trusty mechanic Ted. It will cost a mere $100 to raise what has fallen! If it were summer I'd just leave it down for a bit, but of course that's not an option in zero degree weather. So now my car is at Ted's and I'm trapped at home carless. Grr!!!!
