I'm freaking out just a little bit...

You will never guess what I just discovered! Ok, I'll tell you all about it.....wait for it.... ok I found the BEST HARD WATER AND SOAP SCUM REMOVER. Alright first of all you must know that I haven't cleaned my shower in, oh about the entire 4 years that I have lived in "the shoebox" studio apartment that I currently live in. Shhh! Don't tell my land lord. She's a clean freak. But seriously I had very built up hard water and soap scum covering my entire shower. I decided to tackle the situation the other day. I sprayed a thick layer of 409 cleaning solution all over my shower and let it sit for like an hour. Whipped it off but under all the cleaner the gray soap scum and hard water remained! I then looked online to see what tips I could find. I found many people suggesting using vinegar. One online person suggested using vinegar with regular dish soap mixed in a spray bottle. The dish soap helps the vinegar stay on vertical surfaces. I decided to give it a go. I bought a spray bottle for $.97, a gallon of vinegar for $2.47, and used my regular el-cheapo Ajax dish soap. I sprayed down my shower and let it sit for 10ish minutes. Went back with regular sponge in hand and starting wiping. Guess what!! Everything just wiped away, soap scum, hard water and all! So easy & so cheap. No elbow grease needed!

  1. Vinegar is the best. If you ever want to have shinny mirrors or metal surfaces Use a spray bottle of water with a couple of Tablespoons of vinegar. It also cleans cars amazing. Spray bottle in one hand rag in the other.
