Phone etiquette in my utopia!

You will not believe what happen this morning at 2:13 a.m. My phone rang! I know you're thinking "it must have been an emergency." I was thinking "why so early" as I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that a phone call is an invitation to talk NOT a demand. If you've ever tried to call me you know that I rarely answer my phone. Of course I'm not heartless or unaware that there are sometimes when one really needs the person on the other end to answer NOW so I follow a simple rule to deal with such situations. If you ring and I don't answer ring back straight away & I will answer. In my world 2 consecutive calls means someone is bleeding, crying, or walking down the road completely drunk and only dressed in slippers (I have Harri to thank for that memory).
So this morning when I got the call at 2:13 a.m. I of course did not answer, but when I got another call at 2:15 a.m. I did as this was a clear SOS call. You will never guess who was calling me at such an hour, so I'll just tell you....Anthony! I know you're thinking who is Anthony? Anthony is a guy from my past. He was one of my random hookups from my whoring stage last year! I know, right! Why would he be calling me and what emergency could he need my help with? My first question when I answered was "are you in trouble?" To my annoyance & very little relief he just wanted to talk! Apparently he thought that 2 in the morning was the perfect time for warm fuzzy conversation! I think not! Don't worry I informed him of my phone etiquette rules. Hopefully he will follow them from now on. Of course now that you know you must follow them as well. :) Now if I could only get the rest of the other 8 billion individuals on this planet to get in line with my phone etiquette philosophy I believe the world would be a much happier place.
